The state of South Carolina set aside some of the best examples of its natural, cultural & recreational resources, and presents them to you as state parks. Forty-seven of these properties, found from the edges of the Blue Ridge to the shores of the Atlantic, protect and preserve the rich heritage of the Palmetto State and invite you to sample its unique offerings. The South Carolina State Park Service takes stewardship of the resources and service to you, the visitor, seriously, and invites you to visit the following state parks in this region:
